ATCC streptococcus oralis
Fig. 4. Microbiological results for control, SF6, and HMDSO surfaces. Mean and standard deviation of CFU/mL of (A) C. albicans and (B) S. <t>oralis</t> after 14 days of biofilm inhibition challenge. Bars indicate significant differences between groups (p < 0.05; Tukey HSD test). Representative (C) two- and (D) three-dimensional CLSM images of C. albicans (red) and S. oralis (green) biofilm developed on control and treated surfaces (For interpretation of the references to colour in this figure legend, the reader is referred to the web version of this article).

Article Snippet: Biofilm formation The dual-species biofilm model used to perform the in vitro biofilm inhibition challenge was composed of Streptococcus oralis (S. oralis) (OMZ 607) and Candida albicans (C. albicans) (ATCC 90028) strains, in which overnight cultures of these microorganisms were adjusted to 109 and 107 cells/mL (OD 1.00 at 600 nm) (Ramage et al., 2018), respectively.
